This is a little recording my wife and I made. Friend playing the bass.

How can we fix the mix? Is it fatiguing? Too much compression? Voice too much mid or high? Help!? I’ve been working on this forever.

Ok. Here is an EQ edit, per the wisdom of andrushkiwt and jimmys69 on the forum.  I haven’t figured out tiltEQ, so this is just a slight bass boost and slight shelf at 10k.  Under 3db for each.

 

We’d like for it to sound more like this possibly.  Or, if not, just better than it does.

I think my guitars are too mid still.

and how do you get vocals this huge?  My girls sings just as well, I just can’t capture it correctly. or mix.

We used a tube mic LDC on her vox. Should be good.
